Nelson Lagoon, AK is a small community located on the Alaska Peninsula. With a population of just 98 people, it's one of the least populated places in the country. Despite its size, Nelson Lagoon boasts a variety of businesses and organizations. The village has two stores, an auto repair shop and a post office. There are also several churches and organizations that serve the community such as the Community Health Aide Program and Women's Resource Center that help provide basic health care for residents in need.
The area around Nelson Lagoon offers many year-round outdoor activities like hiking trails, fishing spots, bird watching and berry picking. In addition to these activities, some local sporting events are held throughout the year including basketball tournaments and snowshoe races.
